When using natural rubber to produce electrical insulating rubber products, the softening system, protective system compounding agents and other compounding agents will also affect the electrical insulation of natural rubber vulcanizates to a certain extent. It is necessary to comprehensively consider the various indicators of natural rubber products, especially Mechanical strength and electrical insulation; select appropriate rubber additives to further improve the processing performance of natural rubber products and extend the service life of the finished product.

3. Softening system compounding agent

When using natural rubber to produce ordinary low-voltage electrical insulation rubber products, 5-10 parts of paraffin hydrocarbon oil can meet the basic needs.

When electrical insulation products need to be pasted with synthetic type, it is recommended to use paraffin hydrocarbon oil 2YLYY45 and coumarone resin together to further improve the self-adhesiveness of the rubber; too much paraffin hydrocarbon oil will spray out the surface and affect the adhesion effect of the rubber. In actual production, when polyester compounds are used in the softening system, avoid direct steam vulcanization; polyester compounds will cause hydrolysis during direct steam vulcanization, and the resulting low-molecular polar compounds will reduce the electrical insulation of natural rubber vulcanizates. .

4. Protective system compounding agent

Natural rubber electrical insulation products generally use amine antioxidants and p-phenylenediamine antioxidants, and appropriate antiozonants can be used when necessary. In actual production, the anti-aging system of natural rubber insulation products can use anti-aging agents H and AW together, and can also use paraffin wax and microcrystalline wax in the formula to improve the protective effect. It should be noted that amine antioxidants interfere with peroxide vulcanization. Avoid the use of amine antioxidants in the formulation of natural rubber products containing peroxide in the curing system.

The water absorption and purity of antioxidants will also affect the electrical insulation of natural rubber and vulcanized rubber, so special attention should be paid when designing the formula.

5. Special function compounding agent

In theory, under the premise of satisfying the processing performance of natural rubber electrical insulation products, the smaller the amount of processing aids, the better the rubber dielectric properties. In actual production, adding 5-7 parts of red lead and a certain amount of low-density polyethylene can improve the insulation and tracking resistance of the rubber compound. If necessary, an appropriate amount of leveling agent can be added.

When using natural rubber to produce electrical insulating rubber products, rubber product manufacturers must choose appropriate compounding agents, including vulcanizing agents, accelerators, reinforcing agents, fillers, softeners, antioxidants, and certain compounding agents with special functions. Strictly control the amount of water-absorbing compounding agent and the moisture content of the entire formula to further improve the electrical insulation performance of natural rubber products.
