At present, sulfur vulcanization system and resin vulcanization system are commonly used in the production process of butyl rubber products, and the ratio of combined use of butyl rubber/reclaimed rubber in different vulcanization systems is not the same.

1. Butyl rubber/reclaimed rubber sulfur vulcanized rubber

The combined butyl rubber/butyl reclaimed rubber vulcanized with sulfur as the main vulcanizing agent has the characteristics of high tensile strength, fatigue resistance, and tear resistance. It is often used in the preparation of tire inner liners. Sulfur can be combined with zinc oxide. , The accelerator MBTS is used together. When sulfur vulcanized butyl rubber, when the mixing amount of butyl reclaimed rubber is controlled at 30-60 parts, the overall performance of butyl rubber/reclaimed rubber vulcanizate is better. Sulfur vulcanization is recommended when using butyl rubber/reclaimed rubber to produce rubber products with higher requirements for tensile strength and elongation at break.

2. Butyl rubber/reclaimed rubber resin vulcanizate

Butyl rubber compound vulcanized with resin vulcanization system hardly undergoes vulcanization inversion. The vulcanized rubber has excellent heat resistance, flexibility resistance and chemical stability. When the combined butyl rubber/butyl reclaimed rubber is vulcanized with resin, the amount of butyl reclaimed rubber 2YLYY78 can be controlled at about 30 parts, and the appropriate combined ratio can be selected according to actual needs. In actual production, resin vulcanization can mix 1-3 parts of stannous chloride to increase the vulcanization speed of the resin vulcanization system.

3. Butyl reclaimed rubber improves the process performance of butyl rubber

Butyl rubber/butyl reclaimed rubber can also be vulcanized with quinone oxime vulcanizing agent. Due to less application, the editor will not elaborate. Butyl rubber is a low-unsaturated rubber, it is not easy to break the chain, and the shrinkage rate of the rubber is large; it is difficult to cut the rubber and easy to stick to the roller during the processing; the feeding speed of the compounding agent during mixing is slow, and it is difficult to uniformly mix. Appropriate use of butyl reclaimed rubber in the formulation of pure butyl rubber products can significantly improve the process performance of butyl rubber. It is easy to cut and turn rubber, speed up the feeding speed, thin and difficult to stick to the roller, and significantly improve the quality of the mixed rubber.

In actual production, butyl reclaimed rubber can also be filled in butyl rubber products in the form of filler; when sulfur vulcanization is selected, the amount of butyl reclaimed rubber is controlled  50 parts; when resin vulcanized butyl rubber, filler The amount of butyl reclaimed rubber is generally controlled 60 parts. When butyl rubber and butyl reclaimed rubber are used together to produce butyl rubber products, the rubber product manufacturer must choose a suitable vulcanization system according to actual needs, and reasonably determine the combined ratio of butyl rubber and butyl reclaimed rubber.
