Tire innerliner is an important component in tubeless tires (tubeless tires), and it is more and more widely used in automobiles, motorcycles and bicycles. The main function of the airtight layer is to prevent the leakage of compressed gas, and it is generally processed from chlorobutyl rubber with excellent air tightness as the main raw material. As a new type of raw material to replace high-priced original rubber, reclaimed rubber can be reasonably mixed into the tire innerliner rubber formula, effectively reducing the cost of raw materials on the premise of ensuring product quality. In actual production, what kind of reclaimed rubber can be used to produce tire innerliner rubber?

1. Chlorinated butyl reclaimed rubber

Chlorinated butyl reclaimed rubber is processed from medicinal butyl caps and stoppers. Chlorinated butyl reclaimed rubber 2ELYY97 has good compatibility with chlorinated butyl rubber, and can be mixed into chlorinated butyl rubber or chlorinated butyl rubber/natural rubber combined rubber for the manufacture of tire inner liner rubber. On the premise of ensuring the performance of the inner liner, the cost of raw materials can be effectively reduced.

2. Butyl reclaimed rubber

Butyl reclaimed rubber retains the basic performance characteristics of butyl rubber, and has the characteristics of strong air tightness, heat resistance, ozone resistance and aging resistance. It has good compatibility with chlorinated butyl rubber and chlorinated butyl reclaimed rubber 2ELYY97. Substitute part of chlorobutyl rubber to produce tire inner liner rubber. In actual production, when chlorobutyl rubber/butyl reclaimed rubber, chlorinated butyl rubber/natural rubber/butyl reclaimed rubber are used to produce tire inner liner, it is recommended to add a small amount of air blocker to further improve tire air tightness Layer resistance to breathability.

3. Tire reclaimed rubber

Tire reclaimed rubber is the reclaimed rubber product with the largest output at present. It is processed from waste automobile tires as the main raw material, and the product price is low. The tire inner liner has strict requirements on the air tightness of the rubber material used. When using tire reclaimed rubber to reduce costs, it is recommended to choose ultra-fine tire reclaimed rubber with high fineness and no impurities to better ensure the air tightness of the product.

4. Combined use of chlorobutyl rubber/natural rubber/tire reclaimed rubber to produce a practical formula for tire inner liner

65 parts of chlorinated butyl reclaimed rubber, 25 parts of natural rubber, 20 parts of tire reclaimed rubber, 70 parts of general-purpose carbon black, 12.5 parts of operating oil, 1 part of stearic acid, 4 parts of alkyl phenolic resin, 0.5 parts of magnesium oxide, oxidized 5 parts of zinc, 0.7 part of alkylphenol disulfide, 0.25 part of accelerator TMTD, 1.25 part of accelerator DM; total: 205.2 parts.

When using chlorobutyl rubber as the main raw material to prepare different varieties of tire innerliner rubber, rubber product manufacturers must mix appropriate varieties of reclaimed rubber according to actual needs, reasonably determine the amount of reclaimed rubber, and appropriately adjust the formula to reduce costs. At the same time, we will further optimize the product quality; the editor will continue to discuss related issues with you later.
