EPDM reclaimed rubber is rubber made from waste EPDM rubber products after being crushed and then desulfurized. The main process flow: waste EPDM rubber products → removal of impurities → crushing → desulfurization → mixing → next Film→appearance inspection→packaging, performance is not as good as new EPDM rubber, but the price is lower, so it can replace part of new rubber within a certain range, which has the significance of resource saving and environmental protection. However, in the process of producing rubber products, some products have relatively high requirements for tensile strength, which cannot be met by general EPDM reclaimed rubber, and need to be solved in the following five ways:

1. Mixed part of ethylene propylene gum. Vinyl monomer is the main tensile component of rubber, adding a certain proportion of vinyl monomer (usually ethylene propylene rubber) can improve the tensile strength of EPDM reclaimed rubber.

2. Add reinforcement. Commonly used reinforcing agents include resin, carbon black, etc., which can enhance the mechanical properties of rubber through intermolecular cross-linking. Appropriate addition of these reinforcing agents can improve the tensile strength of EPDM reclaimed rubber.

3. Increase crosslink density. The increase of crosslink density can improve the tensile strength of rubber. It is possible to appropriately increase the amount of vulcanizing agent or use a multifunctional crosslinking agent to increase the crosslinking density of EPDM reclaimed rubber, thereby increasing its tensile strength.

4. Implement anti-aging treatment. Using anti-aging additives such as antioxidants and light stabilizers, and performing aging treatment after vulcanization can effectively prevent the loss of tensile properties of EPDM reclaimed rubber during the aging process, thereby prolonging the duration of its tensile properties.

5. Choose the appropriate filler. The choice of filler also affects the tensile properties of the rubber material. The filler with high surface activity and good interface with the rubber matrix is used to improve the tensile strength of the EPDM reclaimed rubber.

Therefore, through formula design and process control, measures such as increasing vinyl monomers, adding reinforcing agents, increasing crosslinking density, implementing anti-aging treatment, and selecting appropriate fillers can be used to improve the performance of Y2Y3-509 EPDM reclaimed rubber. tensile properties.
