Butyl reclaimed rubber has good air tightness, water tightness, heat resistance, shock absorption, and corrosion resistance. It is widely used to replace butyl rubber to produce various rubber products and reduce raw material costs. When using butyl reclaimed rubber to produce rubber products, sulfur is one of the most common vulcanizing agents. In actual production, manufacturers of butyl reclaimed rubber products need to reasonably choose accelerators and active agents to ensure the safety, vulcanization efficiency and quality of butyl reclaimed rubber vulcanizates.

1. Sulfur consumption in butyl reclaimed rubber products

When using butyl reclaimed rubber to produce rubber products, choose high temperature and long time vulcanization to ensure that the reclaimed rubber vulcanized rubber is fully vulcanized. When selecting sulfur vulcanization, the amount of sulfur 2LLYY1026 is controlled between 0.8-2.3 parts, which is determined according to the saturation of reclaimed rubber and the specific performance indicators of reclaimed rubber products.

2. Compounding agent for butyl reclaimed rubber sulfur vulcanization system

(1) Accelerator: When using sulfur vulcanized butyl reclaimed rubber, thiuram accelerators are commonly used, or thiuram accelerators/thiazole accelerators are used together, accelerator TMTD and accelerator M are 3:2 The vulcanization effect of butyl reclaimed rubber is better when used in combination.

(2) Activator: In actual production, when using accelerator TMTD and accelerator M with sulfur, an appropriate amount of disulfide carbamate can be added to further activate the vulcanization system. When sulfur is used as a vulcanizing agent to vulcanize butyl reclaimed rubber, zinc oxide and stearic acid are commonly used as active agents to improve the performance of butyl vulcanizates.

3. Mixing ratio of butyl reclaimed rubber sulfur vulcanization system

When butyl reclaimed rubber chooses sulfur vulcanization, the rubber product manufacturer can use the accelerator DM alone, with an amount between 3-5 parts; or use about 2 parts of the accelerator ZDC alone to accelerate the vulcanization. In order to better coordinate the vulcanization speed and the vulcanization effect, you may choose to use two or more accelerators together. Common combinations are as follows: accelerator TMTD/DM=1.5/1.5, accelerator TMTD/D=1.5/ 1.5, accelerator TMTD/ZDC=1.2/0.6, accelerator DEDCTE/TMTD=1/1.

Butyl reclaimed rubber can be used alone or in combination with butyl rubber to produce butyl rubber products with better overall performance. In actual production, a reasonable design of the vulcanization system can optimize the physical properties of butyl rubber products under the premise of reducing costs and extend the service life of the products. Later, the editor will have the opportunity to continue to discuss with you the vulcanization characteristics of other vulcanization systems and the compounding skills of the vulcanization system for butyl reclaimed rubber.
