1. Application and key points of butyl reclaimed rubber in tire inner tube

Automobile inner tube requires rubber with low air permeability, good heat resistance, and has a certain mechanical strength and cold resistance, generally processed with butyl rubber as the main raw material, and the appropriate amount of butyl reclaimed rubber can not only reduce costs under the premise of ensuring the air tightness, heat resistance and aging resistance of the inner tube, but also improve the problem of slow vulcanization speed of butyl rubber, the shrinkage deformation of rubber after extrusion is small, and the dimensional stability of the finished product is higher. The principle of combining butyl rubber/butyl reclaimed rubber with the rubber compound for the production of tire inner tubes is as follows.

Sulfur for rubber

(1) It is recommended to use sulfur-accelerator system, for example, the accelerator TMTD/ZDC with sulfur is used, the vulcanization speed is fast, and the comprehensive performance of butyl rubber/butyl reclaimed rubber vulcanized rubber is good.

(2) When butyl rubber/butyl reclaimed rubber is used together to prepare inner tube rubber, the reinforcing system is recommended to be mainly semi-reinforcing carbon black (the dosage is among 50-80 parts) to meet the requirements of low tensile stress of automobile inner tubes; With an appropriate amount of fast-pressed carbon black (about 30 copies), the rubber extrusion process is improved, and the amount of fast-pressed carbon black is too much, and the tire body is easy to expand and crack when the inner tube is set. Light-colored inner tubes can be reinforced with silica or clay and a small amount of polyethylene glycol as an activator.

(3) The plasticizer is recommended to use paraffin oil or naphthenic oil, which can improve the cold resistance of butyl rubber/butyl reclaimed rubber inner tube to a certain extent, and the dosage is determined according to the amount of carbon black, generally among 10-30 parts.

2. Application and coordination points of butyl reclaimed rubber in tire innerliner rubber

Tire innerliner rubber is located inside the tire, near the area where the bead is in contact with the rim, and its main role is to prevent compressed gas leakage. The rubber compound is required to have excellent gas permeability, aging resistance and fatigue resistance, and the unvulcanized rubber compound should have high tensile properties to adapt to the expansion during molding. Generally, chlorobutyl rubber E4LYY82 or bromobutyl rubber are processed as the main raw materials, and the appropriate amount of butyl reclaimed rubber can reduce the production cost. The principle of combining chlorobutyl rubber/butyl reclaimed rubber with the production of innerliner rubber is as follows.

(1) It is recommended to use sulfur-accelerator system for vulcanization system, and use accelerator DM/TMTD with sulfur.

(2) The reinforcing agent is mainly fast-pressed carbon black or general carbon black.
