Customer Name: Zhangzhou Rubber and Plastic Products Factory

Use product: first grade fine and tasteless reclaimed rubber

Use occasion: use with natural rubber to produce odorless sponge foam board

Solve the problem: environmentally friendly foam board has odor

Case background: A rubber and plastic products Co., Ltd. in Zhangzhou is an old customer of our company. We have long used fine and tasteless tire reclaimed rubber products. When using a first-class fine and odorless reclaimed rubber and natural rubber to develop a new type of odorless sponge styrofoam last month, the finished product always has a pungent odor; the technicians of the factory have checked the raw materials, formulas, and production processes. The investigation did not find the reason, and finally put the suspicion on the reclaimed rubber.

Case: The customer in Zhangzhou first contacted our sales staff by phone and asked, “Is the quality of recycled rubber changed?” Our sales staff said that “the quality of first-grade fine and odorless reclaimed rubber products is stable, even if the indicators appear slightly microwaved. Will communicate with the customer in time when purchasing, is there any problem with other raw materials?” The customer decided to re-test, the final result is not satisfactory, and once again contacted the sales staff of the Fortune, it is a little impatient, insisting that there is a problem with recycled rubber. .

In fact, the quality indicators of the first-class fine and odorless reclaimed rubber products basically did not fluctuate. What went wrong? After the communication between the two parties, the engineer of the Fortune Headquarters decided to look at the customer's production workshop (good in Hengshui and Zhangzhou).

Case progress: After entering the trial workshop, the Fortune engineers carefully compared all kinds of raw materials, including natural rubber, reclaimed rubber (a fine and odorless reclaimed rubber) and various small materials, and considered the formula. It does not seem to have problem. Is it really a problem that really appears on reclaimed rubber? If you are not confident in your own products, engineers should also doubt the problem of reclaimed rubber? Where is the problem?

Case Results: The Fortune engineer took the customer's scented samples and repeatedly checked them. Finally, it was found that the pungent odor in the styrofoam samples seemed to have the smell of ammonia, which suddenly became apparent. This should be a problem with foaming agents! Originally, the foamed sponge rubber sheet produced amine compounds and sulfides during the foaming process, which resulted in a certain smell of the foamed rubber sheet, which was mixed with the smell of the rubber itself to cause such a result. Therefore, the engineer suggested that the technicians of the plant should reduce the amount of foaming agent under the conditions of other conditions. The results show that: after the appropriate amount of foaming agent is reduced, the sponge foamed rubber produced by using natural rubber and Hongyun first grade odorless reclaimed rubber as raw materials. The odor of the board is greatly improved.

Case summary: Sometimes changing your mind, the problem may be simple! The use of reclaimed rubber to produce odorless rubber products exhibits an odor, not necessarily a problem with reclaimed rubber, and is likely to occur in other compounding agents.
